“To Heel or Not to Heel…” Bridal Shoes Politesse

Posted · Add Comment

Bridal shoes are a hot topic these days. Is it okay to sport sassy strappy stilletos down the aisle? Or do you save yourself the pain and search for a shoe that fits in a more practical manner? “For some brides, picking a pair of wedding shoes is simply the ‘icing on the cake’. For others, deciding on the fancy footwear can be just as stressful as saying yes to the dress!”

No matter how important bridal shoes are on your list of to-dos, make their fit a priority.  Runway shoes are fun, but if you typically wear sandals, your feet will surly suffer. We encourage brides to choose based on their wedding colors, personal character, and a ‘Cinderella fit’.    We promise you will want to be able to move without an “ouch” after each step.  Shoes that leave your ankles wobbly and unsupported, or your toes crunched will never last through hours of pictures, dinner and dancing.

…a pair of shoes that kills your feet changes everything about you—your posture, your face, you get angry—I mean nobody should be going through the most exciting day of their life wishing that they weren’t wearing something that they are wearing.” Stuart Weitzman

We LOVE brides that find just the right blend of comfort and charm.  Recently, one of our galls commissioned a local artist to hand paint their love story onto her ivory white satin shoes for her big day. The shoes turned out absolutely gorgeous, were incredibly unique, and surprisingly comfortable.  What a fun way to combine comfort and class in the selection of bridal shoes!!  This bride gets an A+ for ‘glass slipper’ originality in our book.

If your shoe choice is one that will become a collectors piece rather than a reusable, make the most of your money and reach for the stars, you might just catch one…
