• Poor seating: Make sure your guests are properly seated both at the ceremony and at the reception as well. Plan to have at least 10-20% more chairs at the ceremony, as there may be latecomers and they will surely not want to disturb the other guests. Furthermore, make sure you create an adequate seating plan for the reception too, so that everyone is seated next to people they actually enjoy.

• Backup plan: If you plan on having your wedding outside (even if just for the ceremony), please be sure to have a bad weather backup plan in store. There are a lot of things you can plan accurately, but weather is not one of them!

• Bad sound: While your DJ and your band might come with their own sound systems, you should definitely make sure everything is wind-proof. Furthermore, remind yourself to equip your officiant with a wireless microphone, so that everyone can listen to what he/she is saying.

• Poor rehearsal: Having a rehearsal of the ceremony is always a good idea – so make sure you take yours seriously. It will help you and your wedding party get rid of some of the nervousness and know exactly what it is that you should do on the Big Day.
