There’s absolutely no doubt over the fact that children are a true joy – and having them invited at your wedding can make their parents really happy. However, how do you handle children when they are not as nice as they should be? How do you make sure they don’t break anything – or even worse, get themselves hurt?
We have gathered some suggestions for you – so read on if you want to find out more.
Treat them as adults. Children love it! Tasking the little ones with the things they can really do well (such as bring their adorable attitude at the ceremony as flower girls and/or ring bearers) will make them feel really happy with your Big Day. Thus, they will be much more likely to be nice throughout the entire event too.
Give them some games. For example, you could create custom wedding-themed coloring books and place crayons of all types at their disposal on a small, separate table. If the children are older, you can also provide them with board games to keep themselves entertained.
Make them your mini photographers. The world seen through the eyes of a child is fascinating and endearing – so why not allow the little ones to capture your wedding as they see it? Provide them with lightweight single-use cameras and task them to shoot photos of the wedding. They will love it.
Bring in the pros. If you think you may not be able to fully handle all the children invited at the wedding and if you want their parents to have fun, bring in some professional sitters or entertainers. They will keep the little ones busy throughout the event, so that they don’t get into any kind of trouble.
